The most important factor that a consumer will consider before purchasing anything is the price of the product and moreover value for money. Sony’s Playstation 4 has taken lead in this factor as it is priced much cheaper than Microsoft’s Xbox One.
Sony has finally revealed the price and expected launch date of Playstation 4 at E3 press conference. The all new PS4 is expected to launch this holiday season for $399.99 in U.S. and £349.99 in the U.K. It’s $100 cheaper than the Xbox One, which will launch this November for the price of $499.99 in U.S. and £429.99 in the U.K.
Sony has also revealed the looks and design of the Playstation 4 at the conference. The console looks slim and have front mounted USB ports. The console can be set on a flat surface or stood up vertically.
The previous version of both the gaming consoles are also launched at the same time and Xbox 360 has taken a lead over PS3 due to pricing factor only. Consumers are also price concious this time as multiplayer gaming is no more free on playstation network on PS4 and requires Playstation Plus membership.
This time Sony has paid much attention to its gaming fans and focussed on pure gaming apart from entertainment and manages to launch at a considerably lower price versus its rival, the strategy will definitely steal a good share of the holiday season sales.
As we’d discussed and compared both the recently announced gaming consoles, Xbox One and Playstation 4 in our previous post where PS4 leads Xbox one in the specifications race, this time too PS4 has taken a lead as it is much cheaper than Xbox One and this proves it as a true value for money device.
