The New Facebook SEXY VIDEO Virus

Facebook has been hit by a Virus. Not really. It’s not a virus actually. But for people who can’t differentiate between spam and virus, it doesn’t matter. Anyways, if you don’t happen to know what all this fuzz is about, you should consider yourself as lucky.

Today, a Candind Sexy Video spread over my wall which was being posted by many of my friend’s accounts to other people’s walls. And this was an automated posting through an application, which had access to the victim’s account.

Once you click on it and accept Facebook credentials and then spams every friend you have on Facebook. This way it spreads across Facebook. So, no matter what, DO NOT CLICK the video.

And if you do happen to click that, you’ll be infected and the video will spread itself to every friend of yours through your account. But here’s how you can correct it.

  • On the top right corner of your Facebook page there is an "Account" option
  • Click that and select “Application Settings” under that
  • Remove access to the app named "Winamp"

And you’re done. So, what have you learnt from this virus/spam attack on Facebook?

Never allow unknown applications on Facebook to access your private data. When they ask you to allow the access, click NO. And don’t play all those useless spam games and do not ever join those idiot fan pages.

Well, I saw that thing on the message wall of a friend of mine, another friend had sent it to him. I clicked on the play button, then the thing wanted to redirect to another facebook site, but somehow, it couldn’t. After that I realized, that it might have been a new facebook virus, googled, and found this site. Funny thing is, I wasn’t asked for a permission, I have no app with the name Winamp on my app list, and my friend’s haven’t been spamed. Additionally, the “sexy video” message on the message board of my friend has somehow “disappeared”, since I’ve clicked on it. What’s going on?!
