Recharge Your Mobile Phone While Riding On A Bike

Nokia has announced a mobile phone charger that gets power from bike. The charger uses the bicycle’s wheels as a dynamo. That is, when you ride the bike, your paddling is converted into power and then this power is used to recharge your mobile phone.

According to Nokia, you need to pedal with a minimum speed of 6km/h (4mph) to recharge the mobile phone efficiently. This speed is equivalent to the normal walking speed. If a cyclist maintains a speed of 10km/h (6mph) for just 10 minutes then he/she will get a talk time of about 28 minutes or 37 hours of standby.

This innovative mobile phone charger is available from $18 and is available in Kenya right now. It will be available worldwide soon.
