Browsing through photos on Facebook has been very troublesome a lot of times. You have to keep clicking to go to the next photo. It is easy to do so if there few photos in an album but if the album is huge it really becomes a tough task to view all the photos and you can’t even do something else while see them as you have to always press next(whether by clicking or pressing arrow button on the keyboard.
Along with the new design that was launched launched live this week, Facebook has come up with a new Prototype, Slideshow(“Prototypes are product experiments built by Facebook engineers”). This prototype(when enabled) will help you in viewing enormous amount of photos with great ease.
Activate this Prototype HERE. After activating go to any album in Facebook. You will notice a ‘Play’ option on the top-right of the photo, between ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ options. Click the ‘Play’ option and it will convert all the photos in that album into a slideshow. The appearance will remain same, the only simple change would be that the photos will start appearing one by one after a every five seconds. It is a very simple and basic feature provided by Facebook. Though this Slideshow does not have many features but it will allow you to sit back and relax while viewing any album in Facebook, which is a big thing.
